As AA, the missile has slightly lower range than radar based SAM platform, but with 70% accuracy it's comparable to an upgrade to Stinger C, paired with an SPAAG, it can shoot down almost every plane who entered its range. As AT, it's the best ATGM available to NATO. The ADATS is one of the most expensive support units, costing 110 points, but its combined abilities make up for it. A Canadian based battery 119 Air Defence Battery was formed equipped with ADATS. 4 CMBG had 129 Air Defence Battery which had twelve ADATS vehicles. The two Airfield Defence Batteries which become 127 & 128 Air Defence Batteries had four ADATS vehicles and eight radar-guided Oerlikon GDF twin 35mm guns. and one year later proved mostly useless, thanks to the end of the Cold War. It was finally Canada that selected it as it's versatile new low-altitude air-defense system in 1986, with 36 ADATS ordered. They ordered more testing, even contemplated mounting the system on a Bradley chassis, but finally declined the project in 1989. Hard to see where bombs gonna fall sometimes.ADATS was first designed by the Swiss company Oerlikon in the mid-70's, before entering into a partnership with what is now Lockheed Martin to propose it to the US market. – Plane bombing zone isn’t enough precice. – More realistic combats (ex: 4 soldiers with no bazooka vs a armored tank armed with a gatling should have no chance to survive, a helicopter taking a plane missile should crash…in that case add a helicopter landing option to avoid missiles…etc) Act of war was very realistic that way. – A map editor can bring this game to a new level, plz let us use our creativity. – Terminator vehicules have too much options and make other vehicules in that action near useless in second time. – Possibility to destry and repair bridges Don’t like the fact that the end of the game is conducted by how many ressource building you have, there were no ressource building in AOW and that was perfect, zone control was primary objective all along the game) – Possibility to desactivate ressource building (ex: underground market / black market ) in game lobby (improve prisoners cature utility and make zone control more important. Love the reboot version that makes me remind the excellent act of war. Those are model changes, not new units, nor do their stats change Some of the US Army’s largest families of similar units have been “repackaged”, in order to make them easier to recognize and to project this faction more in the near-future like the others. – MG Nests & Sentinelsturrets are a bit less resilient. – Artillery damage have been toned down a bit. – CIWS (vehicle-mounted or turrets) are now less effective all over the board. They are also less prone to moving in reverse mode, making U-Turns much faster.Īll in all, units’ reaction time to orders has been cut in half, without loss in performances. Unit’s acceleration & deceleration times have been improved. Major gameplay modifications ( builders, economy & planes) for the Reboot Edition have already been detailed, but they are not the only ones: many other aspects of the game were also improved.
